Start with one companion.

Open the game and choose Ember the fire dragon, Luna the moon wolf or Flint the stone rhino. You begin with one buddy. Follow the friendship quests to meet a second companion at level 10 and the third at level 25.

Pick the character you want to spend time with. Ember brings a fiery spirit, Luna a moonlit adventure and Flint a sturdy presence. You can read each buddy’s story before choosing.

Make Little Hearth your home.

Your tiny starter grows visibly as it levels. Mine ore, visit the town, train and care for your companion. Open the buddy’s page to inspect stats, equipment and memories. Forging turns collected materials into equipment for your team.

Evolution milestones arrive at levels 6, 14, 28, 44, 64 and 85. Your experiences help shape the later agile or guardian path. The game pauses for a transformation when a milestone is reached.

Step into another realm.

The RPG button beneath the town alarm opens the Lantern Roads: connected realms with rune quests, treasure and turn-based battles. Use arrows or WASD to move, or the on-screen touch pad. Space or the A control interacts. In battles, choose a learned move or guard to recover focus.

Lap Mode opens the Training Realm. Try its timing courses for a different kind of practice. Guests can explore these realms; sign in for their rewards and saved mastery.

Help your buddy through a fight.

1. Start on Easy when opening a rift. Later waves become tougher, even within the same difficulty.
2. Move your buddies out of danger during town battles. Watch their health and use retreat before the team is overwhelmed.
3. Ore thieves can arrive while you mine. The town alarm helps rally ready buddies.
4. Let injured survivors recover in town. A fallen buddy has a one-hour recovery period before returning to action.

Earned loot stays with you after a retreat. Opening another game tab pauses the town battle so you can reach the controls.

Keep your journey.

You can play as a guest through level 30. Guest progress is saved in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data, using private browsing or switching devices can lose that local save.

Open Journal for Save now, Export backup and Restore backup. Keep an exported backup somewhere you can find it. Sign in with Google to protect your account journey and continue beyond the guest limit toward level 999.

Use the same Google account on the website and supported Android or Windows clients. Open Account & devices to connect a device. A buddy is active on one linked device at a time; Bring here moves it to the screen you are using.
